Prayers Answered

Last week I got some news. Normally I would worry a lot about it, but for some reason - I didn't. I had this feeling that I was just going to try to give it to God and let him handle it. I am not always the best about doing that, but I did it. I also did my part and took a step into finding a solution. That night when I went to bed, I prayed really hard that God would answer my prayers and bring me an answer . . . and fast (btw, this was Thursday.) Friday morning I got a phone call - and it was the answer to my prayer!! I couldn't believe how fast God had answered my prayer! It was such a good feeling! Although I already know this, it was just a really good, comforting reminder that He IS in control and DOES answer prayers.

I was lucky in how fast my prayer was answered, I know that. Sometimes God doesn't always answer prayer that quickly or even in the way we want it answered. I have experienced that as well. But just because our prayers are not answered at the time we want, doesn't mean it will not happen. Keep faith!

Sometimes one door closes for another door to open. This is true when it comes to family, work, relationships, opportunities, everything really. I know sometimes life gets us all down, or we get in a rut, that is normal. But I just want to encourage everyone to not lose hope and not feel alone. You and I are not alone, even though sometimes it feels like we are . . .God is always there and is ALWAYS listening!! Sometimes when things are going good, we forget to go to Him and it's not till things are going wrong that we turn to Him. I am guilty of this myself! I don't want my relationship with God to be only when I have a problem - I always need him and even if I feel like things are going great, I can still thank Him, talk to Him and pray for others who are in need.

What a wonderful post! It is such a great reminder--b/c we all do get caught up in life and to just stop and take a minute to pray.

This was so wonderful to read. I have felt exactly what you have written the past few months and you are right God will answer prayers, he doesn't say no he just says "not yet". Have a great week!

Linz- what an awesome post. This gave me chills! It's so hard because you are right, sometimes we want God to work in OUR timing and we don't want it to always go that way. I am so impatient! So glad that your prayers were answered.

You are such a blessing. Thank you again for being there for me throughout my training & for supporting me. Your phone call today was just so warming & just made my sweet day.

Love you! =)))
