Laughter

So - I was kind of in a blah mood last night. I mean I was happy yet blah at the same time, if that's even possible - but I know it is possible because that's how I felt. My blah feeling got better as the night went on. I got my mind off of how I was feeling by having a little wine, cuddling with my honey and watching some good tv. Then later on in the night, Mike and I were cutting up and he was being SOOO funny that I was laughing SOOO hard. I mean I was laughing so hard it hurt SO bad!!! I love laughing like that!!! It's the best!!! Then he just grabbed me and we started dancing in the kitchen. It was sweet and funny!

Laughter is the best medicine!! I mean there is nothing like a good, hard, almost pee in your pants laugh! And my hubby sure does know how to make me laugh! That's what I love about him! From the beginning, when we first started dating, we were always laughing! I am so glad we are still laughing today! I think that is one of many keys to a good relationship, laughter.

These are a Few of My Favorite Things

Favorite Piece of Jewelry: My new diamond bezel Mike got me for our 2 year anniversary (we don't follow the traditional list.) Our Anniversary was Dec. 29 and it wasn't here on time since it was coming from Germany. So it just got here a few weeks ago. I can wear it so many ways with my interchangeable Charlotte jewelry collection. One of my favorite ways is under my diamond, or under my pearl!! I LOVE it!! Thanks hubby!!

Favorite Candy: Sour Gummy worms or Haribo gummy bears

Favorite Candles: World Market Indonesian Teak candles

Favorite New Weekly Ritual: Lunch dates with my hubby (usually Monday or Tuesday)

(Where we at lunch last Monday. We were in Oxford . . will post more on this later.)

Favorite Snack right now: Turkey Pepperoni's - I can eat them straight out of the bag! Also like them on salad or in a pita pocket with a little melted cheese!

Favorite Hair Product: Nioxin Shampoo and Conditioner

Favorite Outfit I have worn lately: My new striped purple, grey and black skirt

Get Cute with Cork

Usually the only time I come in contact with Cork is when I am opening a bottle of wine, which happens often, ha ha! But - Cork has come a long way from just the wine bottle, it has made its way into the fashion world! We have all seen wedges and sandals with a Cork heel, but have you seen shoes that are ALL Cork? There are some out there and some of them are pretty cute!

And it doesn't stop with shoes . . .

Cork iPhone pouch
How bout a Cork USB drive?? I think this is cute!! Would make a cute little gift for your computer savvy friends!

Now back to fashion: Cork clutches

Not done yet . . .

How bout a cork cuff?

This last cuff can be used in more ways then just on your wrist:
Etsy has some cute handmade jewelry out of cork:

Initial Cork Necklace
Silver Cork Ring

These are just a few things made out of Cork, there are so many more unique creations out there. Once you have seen some of the things you can do with Cork, you will never look at that bottle of wine the same again! I throw all of my wine corks in a decanter when I open a bottle, not sure what I will do with them all but it looks cute in my kitchen!

According To You . . .

Some of you may remember the beautiful, blond, rocking guitarist that was seen rehearsing along side Michael Jackson for his big tour. I just watched "This Is It" with my brother the other night and was not only mesmerized by MJ, but this talented young woman was very intriguing as well. Her name is Orianthi Panagaris, she is from South Australia and she has been playing the guitar since she was 6. The 24 year old Aussie not only played with the King of POP, but she has also played with other artist such as Santana, ZZ Top and Carry Underwood to name a few.

Another interesting fact that I was not aware of, is that the popular song "According To You" is her!! I don't know where I have been? But I didn't know that, or didn't put 2 and 2 together! Gosh - I thought she was super talented when she was just playing the guitar, but now to know that she can sing like that too, wow! To see her music video of According To You, click HERE,. Keep your eye out for her, for I think she has a very bright future ahead and I am excited to see what she does!

Eat Your Heart Out!!!

How was everyones Valentines Day weekend?? Ours was pretty low key. We stayed in and it was nice! I baked cookies earlier in the week and they were quite yummy and looked cute too!!

The rest of the Valentines festivities started a little early and Saturday night I came home and Mike had done something SO cute for me . . .

*Note: These pics are not the best . . . I have misplaced the charger for our camera so I was using Mike's iPhone all weekend to take pics.

He got us Sushi (our fav) and had made a heart out of it. SOO cute!!! LOVE him!!! We enjoyed it and some wine and just relaxed for the night. It was wonderful!!

Sunday he had to work and I left him a couple little "messages" before he went to work that morning . . . .

We decided to stay in Sunday night and it worked out because he had to work late, late as in 9 p.m. I felt so bad for him because I knew he was wanting to get home, but since he works for Fed-Ex at the airport and since weather has been bad, there were issues that kept him from getting home earlier. But it was all good because I had planned on doing something cute for him for Valentines Dinner since he did something so cute for me the previous night. This is what I did for him and it was ready just like this when he finally got home . . . .

Homemade pizza is the way to a mans heart!

After dinner came gift giving time . . .

Mike's gifts. His main gift was a bracelet (he likes to wear one from time to time.) Will have to get a picture of it later. I gave him a few other little things too. He had been wanting a new football, so I got that for him a couple weeks ago and went ahead and gave it to him early. I got him a magazine he likes and a few other goodies. I also made him a little candy filled "Love Bucket."
I got to enjoy some of my favorite flowers, Gladiolas. Not only did I have a couple Valentine's gifts for Mr. Nabors, but I had a couple little things for my brother, Casey too. He was home from Nashville for the weekend (and recently split with his girlfriend) so couldn't forget him!
Mike did SUCH a good job and had everything in a adorable basket. He even used THREE different types of tissue paper!!! I was impressed!!!!!

He was too sweet to me. He got me candles, a movie, iTunes gift card, and a gorgeous coral necklace!!! The pics do not do the necklace justice, it is stunning in person!! I can't wait to wear it!!!

Mr. Big was my other sweetheart for the night . . . I had a cute little red bow around his neck when Mr. Nabors got home. He is good about wearing things like that and doesn't have a fit. He just bee bopped around, he knew he looked spiffy, even if it was a bow! ha ha

He was pooped by the end of the night!

To make the evening even more special AND romantic . . . it snowed!!! It was so fun to watch the snow fall on Valentines! I went outside to take Mr. Big out and drew a little heart on one of our patio chairs. Perfect ending to the night!
