This morning I was getting ready for work and listening to GMA. One of the last guests on the show was a man who just wrote a book about the great Grace Kelly. It's about her life and I really want to read it. I have a thing for biographies and true stories - that's what I enjoy reading the most. So I hope to get this book. Maybe I will add it to my Christmas list. ;)
They said on GMA that she would be 80 if she were alive today. It's so tragic that she died when she did, and the way she did. But her legacy lives on through the wonderful movies she made and her story of a young, Hollywood starlet at the top of her success, leaving it all behind to marry a Prince. Talk about a true life fairy tale! They also told a few stories about her. One story that I found interesting was that she was always self conscious of her hips and thought she had big hips. I think this is crazy - she looked absolutely perfect! But it just goes to show that someone that beautiful and flawless in the eyes of others are still human and have their very own insecurities. Grace Kelly was and STILL is such an icon - with pure Grace! Pun intended!

Growing up in Philadelphia, you are molded to love Grace Kelly. There is something going on with her right now at the Cartier in Beverly Hills I think, I see banners on the way to work. I'll have to pay attention to them on my way home tonight!
