I have been away too long, but I'm back!! Hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years. I sure did! It has been a busy, busy time!! I had Christmas, my hubby's birthday on the 27th, our anniversary on the 29th, then on New Years my brothers band Darling Parade came and played here in Memphis AND stayed at our house - so I have been quite busy to say the least. Which is why I have been M.I.A for a while.
My parents came in town before Christmas and New Years and they left today and I feel SO blah! I am so not used to them being so far away and hate it when they leave. Plus I hate taking down Christmas decorations, I think it's depressing! ha ha! But we did have a great Christmas! Christmas Eve we went to church like we usually do! It was a great service and a great reminder of what the season is truly about!

This is kind of random, but I took a couple pictures of our bedroom before Christmas. I had our stockings at the foot of our bed until Christmas Eve. I had some decorative ones on our den mantel but these are the ones we actually use and I had put them in our room to be festive until Christmas Eve when Santa came! hehe
Since I'm SO far behind on my blog, here are a few more photos of Christmas decor . . .
{My Naughty and Nice hand towels I had on our ottoman/coffee table}
{My Ralph Lauren china set on the dining room table}
{Long candle holder I also had on the dining room table}
{Mantle in the den/breakfast room}

Part of my family is German and a tradition that some German families do at Christmas is "Find the Pickle" game. A pickle ornament is hidden in the Christmas tree, then everyone has to look for it and whoever wins, gets a prize. I hid it this year and it was hilarious to watch everyone look all over the tree for it!

We hav similar tastes in our home including same lamps, chandeliers, curtains, etc. Crazy! Love the stockings at the bed but hubby would have knocked them off quick. ha! I think taking decor down is depressing too! Happy New Year
