A BBQ Twist on a Traditional Recipe

Today I made something SUPER yummy for lunch: BBQ Chicken Salad. We had some left over grilled bbq chicken from last night and I thought to myself, hmmmmm . . . . what can I do with this? I was thinking some Chicken Salad sounded good and then thought, what about BBQ Chicken Salad?? I googled it and discovered there was such a thing.

I pulled some of my ingredients out, chopped up the chicken and started to make it. I didn't really follow a recipe, just used what I had. I added mayo, BBQ sauce, celery, onion, salt 'n pepper, and a few crushed red pepper flakes. It was so yummy and a great twist on traditional chicken salad!

I wish I had a recipe to share, but I often don't follow recipes and just whip things up. But as I said before, you could google it if you need to find an actual recipe!

This was my lunch today . . . oh and I got these cute little, cordial dishes yesterday too. I have been wanting some of these so I can put deserts and other things in them, so I used one of them for my chicken salad! Aren't they cute?? Loving my fall napkins too (they are from Target!)

I am the exact same way--I almost never follow recipes! Sometimes I look them up just for general guidance, but I go off in my own direction after that. :) I don't eat meat, but your creation looks great nonetheless!

Um, that sounds delicious. If/when I get off my "no meat" kick, I want to make this recipe.

That sounds so good - two of some of my favorite meals in one! I must try this sometime.

If I liked mayonaise, that would sound really good :) Maybe I should try it. The BBQ sauce might disguise the mayo so that I don't even know it's there!

Good for you being creative like that with your recipes!
