Lucky Me!

Today I went to a photo shoot for the mag and it was simply AMAZING! I can't go into too many details so that I don't spoil the next issue coming out this winter, but I am SO excited!! It was at one of the most beautiful venues I have seen. It was on 25 acres, had several locations for weddings, and receptions and was landscaped and decorated like you wouldn't believe! The main part was an old house, originally form the 1800's. The current owners have put a ton of work into it and it shows. The main house looked like a mini Tara from Gone With The Wind.

We had a planner, florist, make-up, models, catering, party rentals, you name it, we had it! It was a long day, but so fun! They were still shooting later this evening and as I was getting ready to leave, I was told to take a couple flower arrangements home with me. I was happy to do that . . . . . of course! All the flower arrangements by the florist today were gorgeous. The ones I got to bring home were Pomanders (also known as "flower balls.")

They can be used for bridesmaids or hanging. I placed them over my kitchen table to show how pretty they look hanging . . . .

Now they are each in a vase and I am hoping they will last through the weekend so I can enjoy them! I am keeping one in my kitchen them may put one in my bedroom to enjoy!

One of the many things I enjoy most in life are fresh flowers, and I certainly intend to enjoy these!!

You are going to be in a magazine?! That is sooo fun! My wedding photo was used for a bridal magazine on the cover for 2007 and it was so fun.

Love this song! I am going to sit here for awhile and listen.

Ok can I just say thank you for writing this post. After you wrote it I searched and the venue is exactly what we have been looking for. Old southern plantation house and right in the middle for both our families. We went and toured it yesterday and it was perfect and we will probably be booking it after the first of the year! She spoke so highly of Southern Bride because I told her how I found out about it! Agh I'm so excited! Thank you!
