Working with Southern Bride & Vintage Video

As some of you know, I work for Southern Bride Magazine! I love working for this magazine and am looking forward to our next issue coming out later in the month.

Every 6 months all of us from the home office here in Memphis get together with the rest of the staff from Alabama (we have an Alabama issue there as well.) In January we all got together for our sales retreat in New Orleans, but this time we are staying here in Memphis and going to show the girls from Alabama a good time! It starts tomorrow morning. We will be in meetings all day, but break for lunch, then at night we will be going out to dinner and fun.

There are some great things planned on the itinerary. We are going to dine at a few of the best restaurants in town, be chauffeured in a limo and end our last night at the Peabody rooftop then Beale Street. So we will be working and brainstorming during the day, but then having a little fun at night! I should have some great pictures to share with you later on in the week.

So today will probably be my last post until the weekend. I have some things to prepare for our meetings and also have to pack. Even though I live here in Memphis, as do a few of the others, we are all staying in a hotel downtown. So I've gots lots to do. I'm about to head out to go to the gym (don't feel like it but I know it's my only chance to go this week) then a mani and pedi, then a little shopping. Would like to try to find a couple cute dresses to wear out for our dinners, so hope I have luck on that.

As I mentioned, our next issue of Southern Bride is coming out later this month. It is going to be AMAZING! The theme was "Then & Now" with a look at vintage inspired designs and trends and how brides today are incorporating those ideas into their current day weddings and fashions.

I wanted to share a couple video trailers with you that were taken from one of our photo shoots.

Click HERE for the first one. Keep in mind as you watch it that is is "Then & Now" which explains the music/sound!

Then the second trailer shows some behind the scenes shots and what goes on during our shoots, as well as some of the amazing photos that were taken by photographer Michael Allen here in Memphis. Click HERE to view it.

Enjoy and I look forward to returning with some fun stories and pics from all of us gals with Southern Bride!
