Mother In Law's Birthday

Yesterday was my Mother in Law's Birthday! Mike and I went shopping the other night for her birthday presents. We got her a set of Burberry perfume (one of my fav's that I wear too) a beautiful necklace and earrings, and then I baked her a chocolate cake (her favorite) with chocolate icing and polka dots. I haven't baked as many cakes and iced or decorated them as much as I have baked other things, so I need to do it more often so I can get better at it. Next weekend is my Mom's Birthday too - so I may have a chance to do it again.

 Luckily Mike took the cake to his parents house, otherwise I would have been too tempted to eat it! ha ha. But I did enjoy licking the spoons! (who doesn't love to do that?!?) I also put together a cute little flower arrangement for her. She is the sweetest lady and I have thanked her and will always thank her for raising such an amazing son! She is the smallest little thing, but Mike and her are just alike: hard working, kind, strong, determined, loving, dependable, meek, thoughtful, and true! I wish her a very Happy Birthday and much love!
