House Beautiful Bedrooms!!

House Beautiful is one of my favorite home decor mags! If I don't buy it, then I am usually thumbing through it at the checkout line at the grocery. They have a great web-site too with great ideas for your home!

Last night I was on HouseBeautiful.com and got to looking at some fabulous bedrooms! These are some of my favorites that I saw:

{I think the "Senorita" in all of us would love to have this bedroom!!}

{I'm not always a "pink" person, but this is so pretty I think! Girly with some modern touches!}
{Small, cozy bed and love the idea of the lamp on the ottoman! It doesn't have to be an actual night stand, ottomans work too!}

{Love the white bed against the color of the wall in this room.}
{How cute are the shoes?!?!}

{This bedroom is so eclectic from the bed, chair, and how the photos are places around the room! I love it!}

{I remember seeing this issue and what I loved about this bedroom was the photo over the bed of The Beatles having a pillow fight! What a great photo for a bedroom! I think it would be adorable in a boys bedroom too, especially if he was into music!}

{Now doesn't this room just look so cozy and inviting??}
{Loving the color of this room and the pops of color throughout!}

{This room would be so perfect for a beach house!!}

What rooms are your fav?

Fall Weekend Fun

I started my weekend Friday afternoon and went to a craft fair with my good friend Lindsay (yes, there were 2 of us!) We went along with her MOI and adorable baby boy Whitten and had a blast. We ate some fresh popped, homemade Kettle Corn (it was SOO good) and walked around and looked at all the arts and crafts! It was a beautiful day, but was a bit warm. We were all wishing it had been a little cooler!

Whitten!! He was hanging out with the gals for the day!

My purchases from the craft fair . . . 2 paintings from a local artist! I love them!!

Friday night was DATE NIGHT!! Woohoo!

Us before heading out on our date!

Hubby took me out and we went to the mall first. He bought me this Tiger bracelet at Charming Charlie! I had never been in there before and could have gone crazy with all of their accessories!! I will be going back VERY soon!!

We liked the bracelet because we are Memphis Tiger fans! So now when we go to games, I will be sportin my fab tiger bracelet he got me!!

After that we went to a favorite local flavor, The Butcher Shop! We each had steak and it was delish! Another purchase we made over the weekend was a cute little Halloween sweater for Mr. Big and his Halloween costume. I am waiting till Halloween to show his costume because it is just too funny!!

He sure was sportin his new sweater though! He was a sport when we put it on him, which meant TREAT!!

Treat Time!

I always keep his treats in this cute jar and I can write on it too! Isn't it cute?? He has Halloween treats in their now!

Mr. Big enjoying his treat!! Num, num!

And boy did he make sure he got every single, last crumb! At least I didn't have to get out the vacuum. He always takes his treats in the Living Room where we have carpet. I always try to get him to stay on the wood floor, but it never happens! ha ha

So that was pretty much our weekend! Hope all of you had a great weekend too!! I am fixing a yummy dinner tonight with a fun Fall twist so will be back soon with photos of my creation!

A BBQ Twist on a Traditional Recipe

Today I made something SUPER yummy for lunch: BBQ Chicken Salad. We had some left over grilled bbq chicken from last night and I thought to myself, hmmmmm . . . . what can I do with this? I was thinking some Chicken Salad sounded good and then thought, what about BBQ Chicken Salad?? I googled it and discovered there was such a thing.

I pulled some of my ingredients out, chopped up the chicken and started to make it. I didn't really follow a recipe, just used what I had. I added mayo, BBQ sauce, celery, onion, salt 'n pepper, and a few crushed red pepper flakes. It was so yummy and a great twist on traditional chicken salad!

I wish I had a recipe to share, but I often don't follow recipes and just whip things up. But as I said before, you could google it if you need to find an actual recipe!

This was my lunch today . . . oh and I got these cute little, cordial dishes yesterday too. I have been wanting some of these so I can put deserts and other things in them, so I used one of them for my chicken salad! Aren't they cute?? Loving my fall napkins too (they are from Target!)

Looking Back at Past Fall Decor . . .

Tonight I was looking at a few older pictures of our first place after we got married. I ran across a couple pictures of how I decorated our mantel for Fall that first year and thought I would share them. It was simple, but there is something about it love.

I always LOVE candles, so I mixed candles with pumpkins and gourds all along the mantel. It was so pretty in person!!

I am still tweaking some of Fall stuff as we speak, but when I am done, I will share that as well! Hope everyone has had a great week so far!
