Hey everyone - I have worked on the Southern Bride Magazine Blog and it will now post onto blogger. Catching My Breath . . .

I feel like I am SO behind on my blog. Sometimes life just gets in the way and I don't have time to blog everyday. I am so busy with work and getting a blog started for the magazine, that I barely have time for my own personal blog. This week has been super busy and will be all the way to Sunday. I need to post about my trip to Nashville over the weekend when we went to see my brothers band, so will try to do that here in a few days! In the meantime I'll share a few other things with ya . . . .

While we were in Nashville I went to one of my FAVORITE stores, Z Gallerie! I could have walked out with everything in the store, but had to have a bit of self control, ha ha! I did leave with one goodie and that was a piece of red coral. I have been wanting one of these for soooo long. Now that I got it home, I am wishing I had bought a second one. I may have to order it on-line. I just think 2 would be cool and could even be used as book ends!

Last night I fixed the yummiest meal - and it was pretty quick too. I did a Shrimp boil. yummmooooo - it was soooo very yummy and spicy!!

Today was my good friend and co-worker Lindsay's birthday (yes we have the same name, just spelled differently!) I got her a pretty orchid in a cute little pot and tied some ribbon around it and took it to the office today. Then all of us gals took her to lunch at Amerigo. We all love wine, so had some with our lunch - it was so fun! We ordered a desert and the waiter was sweet and came out with a candle in it - we didn't even tell him too. This is Lindsay blowing out her candle . . . hope she doesn't kill me for posting this. She's a doll and I hope she had a fab birthday!!

Nashville here I come

I am so needing to be asleep right now because tomorrow we are getting up early and driving to Nashville. We are going to see my brothers band play and his girlfriend is going to ride along with us. It will be a short trip, but I am looking forward to it. I'm excited about seeing my lil bro play, going to Urban Outfitters and one of my favorite restaurants, Sambuca!

Magazine Marvel

For the September cover of Harpers Bazaar you will find a Barbara Streisand look alike and guess who it is . . . . Jennifer Aniston! She posed as the legendary singer and re-created many well known, iconic shots of Streisand. The photos are truly amazing! I paired most of them showing the original with Streisand first, then the recreation with Jennifer Aniston.

I think it would be so cool to get to do a photo shoot like this an recreate looks of a legendary celebrity, don't you?? Who would you be? There are many I would like to be, but I think the top on my list would be Elizabeth Taylor!!

Louis filled with Love & Memories

Look at the treasure that just arrived for me yesterday . . .

It is a Louis Vuitton, Alzer hard side suitcase! I found this beauty on the Internet and at a steal of a deal compared to what they usually are - and had to go for it. I don't know that I will actually use it when traveling, but I just love having it sitting around! ha ha! I think I will put it in my bedroom and keep special things in it. I am going to keep some things from my wedding in it like my earrings I wore, my fabulous wedding shoes, Mike's tie and some other special things from that day!

I seriously felt like it was Christmas when I got it! I thought to myself I should have given it to Mike to save for Christmas, ha ha!! But he is not so good with hanging on to gifts too long, he is always too excited to give me my gifts, so that probably wouldn't have worked!!

I am in love . . I could just sit and stare at it, ha ha!! Like I said, it was a deal, but still not cheap. I got to splurge with a little extra money I had, something I normally never do . . . but for such a classic piece that is timeless I think it is SOOOO worth it!! I am going to keep my eye out for other LV pieces. I look at it as an investment and something that will last a lifetime and something I can hand down to my kids. I just picture opening it up one day and showing my kids the things from our wedding that I will keep in there and then one of them having it one day and putting their special keep sakes and treasures in it. While it is amazing in itself, what I plan to use it for is that much more amazing to me!! It will be like my very own treasure chest, holding things full of love and memories, things I will cherish forever!! That's what I love about it!!

Why Is It . . .

~ on days when you are in a hurry and have somewhere to be there is a ton of traffic and you hit every red light along the way

~ that I always seem to get in a checkout that ends up having an issue like a price check or someone who is really slow

~ if you see someone wearing something you own it 1) makes you like it even more or 2) never want to wear it again

~ on the days I really want to go to the gym, I end up not feeling good or get off work too late to go

~ that the people that try to make it seem as if their life is "SO perfect" ALL the time, are actually the ones that have major issues

~ people just chomp on their gum like it's their last meal and have no clue how loud and annoying they are being

~ that when we see something and know it is the "last one", we want it 10x more

~ the day I always end up wanting Chick-Fil-A so bad, is on a Sunday, when they are closed

~ that when you buy something new and wear it, you feel like you look so much better then if you simply wore something else you already had in your closet

~ that most of us have cable with more then enough channels, yet sometimes it is impossible to find anything to watch

~ as soon as I lay my head on my pillow and close my eyes, my dog wants to go outside

~ when you really don't feel like talking or seeing anyone, you run into people at the store or see your neighbors outside when you get home

~ when you meet someone and you think you don't like them, you end up becoming friends with them later

~ people talk about other people and things they do or how they live in a negative "my life is better then yours way", when they do the exact same things

~ on the days you have to get up early, you want to sleep in so bad and then on the days you can sleep in you have a hard time doing it

~ that it costs much more to eat healthy then it does to eat unhealthy

~when you are somewhere like church or in a meeting and you know it's not the right time or place to laugh or giggle, it's that much harder not too!

~ when you are on the prowl and searching for something in particular, you cannot find it anywhere

Just a few thoughts I have . . . . who knows why, right?
