Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

I've been M.I.A this week because I was getting ready for company this weekend! My parents came from TX and my brother is here from Nashville. I LOVE having my entire family together!! We are going to have a great weekend!! We are going to grill out, cook, go to the lake, and Mom and I may do a little shopping! It will be great! And my house is the cleanest it has been in a while. Company is great because it forces you to clean really good! ha ha!

I plan on taking lots of pics, which I will share later. I hope all of you have a fab weekend as well. Be safe and as we all enjoy our weekend, lets all try to also remember what it's really about and how lucky we are to live in such a great country and be protected by so many amazing men and women every day!

Last week I picked up this bracelet that I had been eyeing for a while . . . and I love it!

They had a necklace too that I might like to go back and get. I really like the knotted mesh jewelry right now. Here are some other mesh pieces that are cool!

Bye Bye Bachelorette

Did any of you watch the Bachelorette tonight? I turned the channel when it came on, which is odd for me because I am always watching The Bachelor/Bachelorette every season. But not this time. I am just not an Ali fan and not crazy about her being on the show, so I decided not to watch it because she just doesn't interest me.

I was not thrilled when I heard she was going to be the next Bachelorette . . . but that's just me. What do ya'll think? Are ya'll Ali fans or not so much like me?

Last week we had some beautiful weather and I took advantage of working from home one day. I took my laptop outside, along with Mr. Big and we enjoyed the afternoon.

Isn't Mr. Big just the cutest?? I love him SO much!!

Audrey Hepburn Pop Art

Last week I was shopping and came across this fabulous piece of art, an Audrey Hepburn pop art print. I knew wen I saw it I HAD to have it!!

Probably going to keep it in the living room, but wherever it goes it will look great and make me smile!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! Mine has been okay. Trying to get my house in order and clean . . . not so fun but I do love it when it's all clean and smelling fresh!

Gum Drop {Scented Nail Polish by Revlon}

The other night as I was strolling through Walgreens and grabbing some things I needed I came upon a display with some new Revlon polish. There were some colors that I had not seen before AND something else I never seen nor heard of . . . . scented nail polish. I immediately saw a color I liked, which was the lilac color called Gum Drop. I bought it and so far LOVE it! I also LOVE the fact that it smells so good too! It's so nice to not have the typical nail polish smell. The first few days I could smell the lovely scent, but after that I think the smell has worn off, but that's fine. I still love the color. It's a good summer, neutral color I think. So hop on over to your local drug store and check out these new colors! They will look AND smell great!

P.S. I took these pics about 5 days after having the polish on so it's time for me to take it all off and apply a fresh coat to my nails and toes. Typing, doing dishes, being outside and on my feet a lot can be hard a girls fingers and toes!! ;)

Calling all COACH Fans

I am about to purchase a Coach swingpack bag . . . but I'm having a hard time deciding which one I want. I have been wanting one for quite a while now. There have been times when I'm running up to the store and I don't want to take a big purse or just my wallet in and then times when I've been on vacay and thought I could totally use a cute bag just to throw across my body.

At first I had my mind set on the classic all black one. I just thought it would go with everything, but then I tried it on today and didn't love it as much as I thought I would.

Part of that could have been the fact that I was wearing a black shirt and it just didn't look good against it . . . . but then I tried on this one and liked it a lot.

{I think as of now this is my first choice.}

Then of course there is this one . . .

Then there are these with the "new C's"

The "new C's" are cool, but I think I like the classic ones better . . . I don't know??

So . . . what do you all think? Do any of you have one of these that you just love? I really want to pick one out that will go with pretty much everything. So for me that would be something in black or the khaki. Of course I would love to have both, but just gonna start with one, then maybe later if I feel like I use it enough I could get the other color. I would love to have one with black and then one in khaki . . . . but gotta pace myself here! ha ha!

The Back Up Plan

Have any of you seen The Back Up Plan?? I saw it a couple weeks ago and thought it was a cute movie! Typical J-LO chick flick, but still a cute movie!

I liked her style a lot in the movie too . . .

AND I just LOOOVED her dog in the movie!! OMG!! I wont go into details about it in case you haven't seen it, but this dog just melted my heart!!!

Whatta Week & "Elegance is Learned . . My Friends!"

I have been working like crazy this week and been ABSOLUTELY exhausted!! Last night I was so tired when I finally got home . . . I didn't even feel like eating dinner. But I did. We got Outback take out because there was no way I had the energy to cook. Oh and I must recommend the Ahi Tuna at Outback! It's an appetizer but last night I got it as my entree with a sweet potato. So try it next time you eat there!

Since it has been such a long week and my feet have been killing me, I think I am going to treat myself to a mani & pedi tomorrow! Maybe even a facial . . . we shall see.

Feeling Blue, boo hoo

So . . I'm not going to lie and act like I'm "Peppy Patty" tonight . . . I'm feeling blue! I think it's just PMS and those lovely little things we call hormones! Thanks Aunt Flo!!

I think sitting in a room like this, would help me not feel so blue. We'll I guess I'd still feel "blue" but not "boo hoo." {sigh}

Ways to use those empty wine bottles

If you are a big wine drinker like me, then you probably end up with quite a few empty wine bottles. I started saving mine a month ago and plan on doing something with them. I have stuck a candle in an empty wine bottle before and really liked it. That is a great way to use an empty bottle but there are also many other things you can do.

Last but certainly not least, use an empty wine bottle to send that special someone a little message. I love this idea, especially since it was how Mr. Nabors proposed to me!!
